Jute (aka hessian, burlap or sacking) is a wonderful, natural fibre for eco-bags. Grown on small, farm plots in rain fed conditions in East India, jute crops are naturally very robust and are traditionally pesticide free.
We carry stocks of three, practical eco-bag styles made from this fantastic, sustainable material but any bag style can be tailored to your requirements. Due to the open weave of the fabric, a simple, printed logo in a limited number of colours is most effective.
To maximize its capacity to carry heavy and wet items, such as farm or fish produce safely, we carry stocks of a Jute Bag, that are reinforced with a synthetic lining and features short, soft padded handles to make carrying heavy shopping more comfortable. With its robust character and waterproof lining, a Reinforced Jute Eco-Bag is ideal for farm shops, delis and grocery stores.

The Bag it Don’t Bin it team pulled out all the stops to produce the Egerton jute bag, which is a personal initiative to reduce the use of plastic bags and to help the environment as well as encourage use of the village shop for sustainable living. The jute bag is super – the parcels of bags arrived swiftly, despite limited notice, in time for my picnic and BBQ party. Well done to everyone for creating the bag for me in such a perfect way and beating the clock.
